This show presented several technical challenges. The
venue is a flexible space with a tension grid and no fly's. We
created several automated effects. Telescoping metal trees from
the ceiling, a hydraulic throne, hydraulic platforms, moving walls, etc. The main challenge was taking stock scenery and an old repertory set from the proscenium space and creating a repertory set for the blackbox. Creating a metal bridge which spans ~60' with only 1/4" deflection. Custom stairs, railings, and wall panels were created from carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, fencing, & aluminum. |
